Indicates Void is the 5th Bass Communion album, originally released in 2005 in a limited edition (500 copies vinyl only pressing) on Dutch label ToneFloat.
Coming after the artistic peak of the previous Bass Communion album Ghosts on Magnetic Tape, Indicates Void saw SW searching for a new direction for the project, each of the 4 parts being an experiment in using only 1 or 2 instrument source(s) - guitar, clarinet, voice/musical box, and piano/saxophone.

This new cassette edition of the album on Canadian label Coup sur Coup features the original album remastered by Steven Wilson for cassette on side A, and two previously unreleased out-take versions on side B. Guitar Study (Indicates Void 1 prototype) is a much longer raw version of Indicates Void I taken from earlier in the recording process, whilst Indicates Void II (long version) is a different assembly of the clarinet piece (many of the pieces were reworked from longer versions for the original vinyl format).
